After two years of waiting, the festive edition of Taste of London always promised to be an incredible experience and it certainly didn’t disappoint.
The event brought together the finest food and drink in the capital and we were excited to include Bemuse in the gastronomic celebration which had an extra-joyful feel this year. Hosted in the dramatic setting of Tobacco Dock in East London, it was the perfect venue for the thousands of visitors to get into the festive spirit and enjoy the unique social atmosphere that came with the indoor/outdoor old London market feel.
Taste of London was a wonderful opportunity for us to introduce the full range of Bemuse meads to so many people who share our love of outstanding food and drink and we enjoyed creating some tasty festive treats specifically for Taste. Firstly, we fired up the stove and made a big pot of our delicious winter warmer, Bemuse Spiced Mulled Pear, which was perfect to take the chill out of the November temperatures. We were also thrilled to partner up with some wonderful collaborators - Hive & Keeper and Keva Food Co – to celebrate the different tastes that are supplied by bees. Our festive hampers offered a taste of ‘Taste’ and featured our combined selected products for visitors to win on the day, and there were samples of a very moreish mead cake and accompanying drinking biscuits to try alongside Bemuse.
The Bemuse team loved meeting and interacting with people who were curious about our drinks and were keen to try them. We were certainly kept busy sharing our story and sampling the drinks and loved hearing the positive feedback from everyone we met. Most of the visitors were there to discover some exciting new food and drink options and we like to think that Bemuse has helped them to ‘Bee Inspired’.
